I know I've posted another version of this song a while ago, but I'm in total awe that I actually was present to witness the show this video was made at. Not only is this one of my all time favorite songs, watching what a talented musician Joanna Newsom is just makes me happy and it's exciting that I actually got to bask in her sunlight.

There's a very cool Israeli band called The Ramirez Brothers, I highly recommend listening to their music, they are fun, and they make you want to dance. They've decided to release a funny little EP called "A Ramirez Christmas" covering 6 well known Christmas songs. I had such a fun time listening to it that I decided to share one of them with you - to further your Christmas spirit!

Now, all my favorite bloggers have slowly started posting photos from their Christmas eve adventures and I must say I'm quite jealous of the whole fancying up and celebrations so I've decided that for the very least, I would pick some red & green clothes to wear, if I had a Christmas eve, I mean, you know how much I LOVE to make wish-lists!
And you know what? I know it's not in traditional Christmas colors - but I would rock this dress (if it were my size I mean). HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Even though I don't actually celebrate Christmas, I have a lot of friends who do, so I can't help feeling festive. Here in Israel, it's just a normal, chilly afternoon but I know that in a lot of other places around the world people are getting ready to celebrate Christmas eve and that makes me happy because I know it's a special time for a lot of you. Happy holidays to you from me!
I wanted to share 2 (well actually 3) presents I got in time for Christmas. The first, and second are two amazing prints from Clare at Tastes Orangey.
I have been stalking her shop for a long while and finally was able to get myself two beautiful items. I highly recommend her shop, she and her items are wonderful.
About the 3rd present, remember how awesome my dad is? Well he just finished his latest project, renovating a bench for me.
Now this is a special bench, part of a 1950s set of 3 benches my grandparents used to have in their tiny dining room. I remember myself sitting on these benches when having lunch over at their house. I always thought the benches were special, and well, I pretty much adored all of my grandparents furniture - I already have my grandmothers make-up table, and my grandfathers matching set of armchair and stool.
This was a special treat, my dad really did a great job and the bonus part is that this bench can be used for storage (imagine my surprise when I found out the hidden storage as a kid).
So thank you dad and thank you Clare and to everyone celebrating Christmas, have a good one :)

So I must wear black to work everyday. Even though black is slimming and respectable I often feel like the "I" in black is getting whiped out. It's slightly depressing and I try to cheer myself up by playing with layers or textures and sometimes I sneek in a little color (take that work place!). So today, I'm telling myself that if I need to wear black then I should take black to the next level and wear fancy black clothes only - wouldn't it be fun to wear over-the-top, full skirted, rich fabric dresses everyday? These items are on my glamorama-black-to-work fantasy wishlist and I want them all:

So winter in Israel is officialy about to start tonight. *Now* I guess. It has definatly been colder and darker out today but still nothing major. There are talks about storms coming in and even SNOW (not where I live. Poop.) Let me give you a mental reminder of how I feel about snow:
Wow it's crazy to think that was almost a year ago. Taken in Pennsylvania by the way, not in Israel. So what do I do now when winter is finally approaching?? Make a vintage winter outfit wish-list of course!!
