First of all - PLEASE if you have an etsy account (or wish to create one) head to the VOTER and vote for my Vintage Striped Woolen Handmade Vest. It's so exciting to be featured there. I hope it gets me the much needed exposure I want for the shop.

Moving along, I've had (and am going to have) a busy couple of days. Beside classwork I've had 3 sales day after day! It was pretty exciting! Anyway, I wanted to share this amazing site with you that features REED + RADER's portfolio. Go take a look (it's a little freaky - but very cool!).

I forgot! My awesome (cause they are) boots, were featured in Harlow Monroe! Thank you guys!

My Day Off

The smartest thing I did with my schedule for the this semester is leave a day wide open with no classes for whatever. Thankfully, this day is today and it's in the middle of the week so I get to catch my breathe, take a break and get lots of things done (I guess one contradicts the other but that's how I am).

The first thing I got to do FOR my day off is sleep for8 hours (compared to the 4-5 hours I've been getting lately) which allows me to do things that don't revolve around staring blankly. I opened my day with a breakfast date with my dad who came to visit me. I sent a big bag of vintage goodies back home with him that I will shoot for the shop this weekend. I love vintage. I got a hold of some great find last weekend and I can't wait to share them with you.

Since I got back I've been multi-tasking: promoting the and doing some maintenance on shop (suggestions anyone?), checking out ALLLL of my favorite blogs - that I can tell you my friends, is a long list, and getting very jealous of the snow everyone but me is having! By the way I check every comment you leave, so if you have a blog, I'd love to check it out, so leave comments. My lovely hasn't called me yet so I'm forced to be productive and all, instead of getting spoiled by him on the phone. Shame on him.

The day holds a lot of more things for me to do. I think I'm actually going to go shopping. Or at least, window shopping. Which I haven't done in forever. And that's sad.

I think this post is kind of boring without pictures but my camera is BROKEN! It's so sad and horrible for me, but I really don't know which new camera to get - does anyone have any suggestions for me???? please?!

I will leave you with a great selection of pictures taken of Michael Johansson's visually engaging sculptures. Be sure to visit this link for more.

What's LATELY New in the Shop

This is me, taking a "bad bad Zohar!" break from studying. I've been quite busy and still am tonight but I have quite a few interesting things to share and I hope I will do that soon enough. In the mean while, here are some highlights of what's been added recently to the shop:

Zero 7 + Geva Alon

I was fortunate enough to attend two great shows lately, one of the amazing Zero 7 (minus Sia, but as Mr. Jagger said, you can't always get what you want) and of Geva Alon's 3rd album launch show. Since both shows were really really so great - I thought I'd share a clip from each (you can actually see my head bobbing under the bass player in Geva Alon's show since I was up by the stage)

I arrived at my parents house today. We live in a small village (also known in hebrew as a MOSHAV) and it's always nice to come back from the big city to grass and dogs and cats and mud (since it's finally winter-ish here). Upon my arrival I was notified by my dad that a package arrived for me - I've been waiting for two lovely necklaces from the talented Mallory from Where the Lovely Things Are, and man, they are lovelier than I thought they would be. It's so awesome getting things from around the world. Especially if they are vintage or handmade.

Meanwhile, my dad spotted a HUGE mushroom in our backyard yesterday and wanted to show it to me today. Unfortunatly, it died. Which of course had to be documented as well. Looks more like it had a case of auto-combustion does'nt it??

Everyone - have a great weekend!

It was my dads birthday this past weekend and as a result my sister Shira who lives far away near the border of Israel and Lebanon came to visit. I don't see her very often so it was quite a treat. Even though it was a birthday weekend, I had to work and had a very long photo session in which my lovely sister agreed to model for my Etsy shop (it is a family business after all..).
Here are the results - I think she looks rather beautiful.

It hasn't stopped raining since last night and I couldn't be happier (well I could, but the person I want here had to go to class). I love winter! We haven't had one normal rainy day since it "started" and I'm so happy to be in my room working on things and experiencing the wonderful feeling of hearing and smelling rain. Have a great week!

Blast from the Past

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season or at least (for those of us not celebrating anything really) just enjoying whatever. The weekend sale has come and gone, I've made a couple of sales which was great and exciting. It's been a busy week and a very busy semester (halfway to ending...) and generally I'm pretty much tired.

My father and mother both had a very long military career (being in the military is mandatory in Israel). My father was a (in simple words) helicopter technician for some time of that career so he would fly all over the country. The other day my mother sent me this picture of him (second from the left) - he and his crew landed in the Hermon which is the highest mountain in Israel and pretty much the only place you can get snow. I think that besides my dad being quite foxy, it's so great seeing these pictures of when your parents had their own lives, where everything revolved around them - you know what I mean? I'm guessing my dad isn't much older in this picture than I am right now and it's great to see this picture and feel like I've captured some moment in my dads life I would never have known about otherwise..
